Press Release: Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery
“Fall Back!” This weekend you will be turning your clocks back one hour to bid farewell to daylight savings time. Sunday November 4th is the big day. When you do turn back your clocks remember to change the batteries in your smoke alarm, too. Smoke alarm batteries need to be changed at least twice a year. The other time to change the batteries will be in the spring when we turn our clocks ahead. This simple act cuts the risk of dying in a home fire nearly in half. Also, be sure to test that smoke detector at least once a month.
This is a lifesaving reminder to “Change you Clock, Change your Battery” from the Officers and Firefighters of the Wilton Fire Department.
